The Crime Prevention Division has taught D.A.R.E. in Panola County schools since 1988
reaching over 15,000 kids in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade. While
the D.A.R.E. program focuses on teaching children to resist drug abuse, it also touches
other aspects of their daily lives such as how to deal with angry feelings, how to deal
with peer pressure, how to stay out of unsafe situations, and how to make good
decisions based on the consequences of their actions. Here are some pictures from the
2004 - 2005 D.A.R.E. classes.
